Please be advised that a possible labour dispute at Canada Post may result in disruptions to mail delivery services. For plan members who submit claims and receive reimbursements and statements by mail, a postal disruption could mean significant delays.
Should a postal strike occur, please consider the following options available at Coughlin & Associates Ltd. (“Coughlin”) to alleviate the impact.
With our pre-authorized deposit service, claims reimbursements are deposited directly into the member’s bank account. This means no waiting for a cheque to arrive in the mail.
You can return the completed PAD form by:
• Fax to 613-231-2345 for Ottawa office or 204-943-5998 for Winnipeg office
• In-person at Coughlin’s office locations
Our walk-in claims service allows health and dental claims to be processed while you wait, usually in less than 30 minutes. You can submit your claim form in person during regular business hours at our Ottawa office location.
Due to the heavier volume expected during the postal disruption, wait times could be longer than usual. Additional parking will be available in the designated areas at the back of our Ottawa office building.
Please note that you may be asked to provide photo identification when you use our walk-in claims service.
Coughlin’s Winnipeg office will continue to provide claims drop-off and pick-up service, where health and dental claims can be dropped off at the Winnipeg office location and arrangements made for the member to be contacted when the reimbursement is ready for pick-up.
If Coughlin issues pension cheques to you on behalf of your former employer or plan sponsor, those cheques can be picked up at our office locations. Appropriate photo identification will be required.
Plan sponsor remittances and other related documents can be picked-up or dropped-off at our office locations. Please contact your Coughlin service representative to make arrangements. You may be asked to provide photo identification if you are picking up documents.
